Progressive funk/jazz drummer, Jiffy Griffiths, received his first drum kit at just 9 years old.
Today, Jiffy plays as a session drummer for leading names in the music industry, hosts drum clinics across the country, and is part of respected ‘Bass and Drum’ band, the Kinky Wizzards.
Easily adapting to a students’ requirements, from rock, jazz and funk to Latin sambas, Jiffy’s lessons are engaging and fun.
He can teach people to play the drums from scratch or help them to perfect new techniques and progress their grades.
During his teens, Aled developed under the guidance of the late Tony Levin (European Jazz Orchestra) and played with some of the UK’s leading jazz musicians.
Aled has played with a long list of rock and jazz groups, including a live performance in front of 10,000 people in Trafalgar Square, and teaches at Cardiff County and Vale of Glamorgan Music Service.
With an extensive knowledge of rhythm theory and drum notation, Aled works with students of all ages, abilities and musical influences, including rock, metal, pop, funk and jazz, Latin, sight reading and more.
Once someone has been bitten by the drumming bug, they’re in it for life.
