With this snare stand, our goal went beyond simple weight reduction. It was about supporting the core of the drum kit. The hollow Aluminum arms used in the snare basket achieve an exceptional balance of lightness and strength that’s needed to withstand powerful backbeats. Anti-Walk Rubber Feet reduce subtle movements during performance, overcoming the instability often associated with lightweight stands and allowing drummers to stay fully immersed in their playing. A Quick-Set Tilter provides smooth, stepless angle adjustment, while the expandable basket design enables fast and secure snare positioning. The result is a quick, confident setup — without disrupting the focused anticipation before a performance.

- Lightweight Aluminum Pipe – In pursuit of the ultimate lightweight design, this new series from TAMA was developed entirely from the ground up, with all parts and mechanisms reimagined from scratch. Using lightweight aluminum extensively throughout, each component has been carefully designed to minimize size. At the same time, achieving a high level of stability alongside a reduced weight is the core concept behind the Spartan stand. To ensure this, critical adjustment points that tend to experience wear and tear—such as the boom tilter, bolts, and T-nut threads—are made from high-strength, durable materials like zinc die-cast and steel.
- Flatter Pipe Basket Arms – To achieve both lightness and stability, the basket arms are constructed from hollow aluminum pipes, matching the tripod base design. The result is remarkably lightweight support that holds the snare firmly in place, even under heavy playing.
- Compact Folding Basket – A single T-nut allows quick adjustment of one arm to securely fit 12”–15” snare drums. For transport, the other two arms can fold inward, allowing for compact storage.
- Anti-Walk Rubber Feet – To prevent the stand “walking” while playing, TAMA has developed an all-new rubber tip. Even when the stand lifts slightly off the floor while playing, a piece at the center of the rubber foot remains in contact with the floor, effectively minimizing unwanted movement during performance. This innovative feature delivers a level of stability that’s almost unbelievable believe given the stand’s lightweight design— yet another practical and original solution from TAMA
