YAMAHA ROLLS OUT NEW DRUMMNG FESTIVAL FOR 2017

Following a hugely successful pilot in London last October, Yamaha’s FREE 3-day music festival devoted entirely to drumming, takes a giant leap forward for 2017.

Yamaha Drums is delighted to announce that DRUMFEST ’17 has been extended across the UK, with Drum Depot being one of the specialist drum stores hosting the festival in Cardiff. Taking place from August to October, DRUM FEST ’17, offers a 3-day weekend feast of live drumming and drum workshops from Fridays to Sundays, culminating in each location with the live Regional Final of #FUTUREBEAT – Yamaha’s groundbreaking and prestigious national drumming competition to discover and showcase the next generation of drummers aged 18 years and under.

Tech Sessions
Throughout DRUMFEST, experts from Yamaha Drums will be on hand to present daily Tech Sessions covering a vast range of drumming and kit related topics from ‘Tuning Drums for Beginners’ to ‘Hybrid Drumming’.

“Evening With” Sessions
Those attending have the opportunity to enjoy stunning live performances and a program of ‘Evening With’ sessions from influential UK professional drummers which will be announced over the coming weeks.

Learn To Play
With something to entertain, inspire and educate, DRUMFEST is the go-to event for those wishing to learn to play via a free bookable 20-minute drum lesson.

Virtual Gadd
Originally previewed at the international NAMM show in LA to an admiring audience, visitors to DRUMFEST will have the opportunity to experience a 360 degree virtual reality experience of Steve Gadd as they are transported to the legendary Metropolis Studios in London to experience him putting his drum kit through its paces.

Yamaha’s ground-breaking and prestigious national #FUTUREBEAT drumming competition to discover and showcase the next generation of drummers aged 18 years and under.

Displays/Demonstrations
This is a perfect opportunity to see and hear the full range of Yamaha Drums as everything will be on display from entry level electronic drums to professional series Acoustic kits as seen on stages across the world. Experts will also be on hand to demonstrate the products for you and give valuable support to existing users.
