- Flip Grip Basket (Patent Pending) – By flipping the basket arms, the size becomes adjustable, accommodating instruments with diameters from 12“ to 14” . A single stand can therefore support multiple instruments, offering outstanding versatility. Unlike previous models, there is no need to overly narrow the basket section when mounting small -diameter instruments. Even instruments around 10 inches in diameter can be set up with confidence, thanks to the stable and reliable design.
- Ball Clamp Tilter – Yamaha ’s proprietary Ball Clamp design enables smooth and almost infinite adjustability to the snare basket angle. With the simple turn of a wing nut, the snare drum can be set to an optimal position for any drummer, while quick adjustments are easy to make and secure. In addition to fluid angle adjustment, the ball clamp tilter allows rotational adjustment for detailed strainer placement. To make the design even more practical, the basket arm ’s central axis is precisely aligned with the upper pipe, delivering outstanding stability and allows for intuitive, stress-free adjustment. The compact and simple design of the stand allows angles to be unchanged during tear down and transit, ensuring your snare drum is always in the right position.
- Snare Basket Adjustment Knob – The ergonomic grip design fits naturally in the hand. With a built-in metal washer at the top of the knob, allowing smooth tightening with minimal effort, combining comfortable handling with secure placement.
- Large Rubber Feet and Spikes – Oversized rubber feet maximize grip, keeping the stand firmly in place. Built -in spikes extend with a simple push, allowing quick switching depending on the floor surface for optimal stability.
- Tone-Enhancing Basket Rubber – To further enhance the natural resonance of the snare drum, a newly designed basket rubber arm has been incorporated into the stand. The basket rubber flexes dynamically under impact, helping to minimize unwanted vibrations from being transferred between the drum to the stand. This allows the drum shell to resonate more freely, bringing out its full tonal character. Our frequency analysis highlights the noticeable shift, in side-by-side recording tests against previous stand models using the same snare drum. The Tone-Enhancing Basket Rubber significantly increases low-frequency sustain, particularly in the lower register. Artists who have tested the stand describe the sound as offering an ideal balance of focus, tightness, and enhanced low-end fullness.
