Cast your mind back to that time you bought a new snare drum. It gives you a shudder of joy, a feeling we know only too well.
After spending hours researching the perfect drum, ya get down to DD town to hear it in the flesh. You finally get it home and stare, take pics, text mates, post on socials and stare some more.
You mess about to get the tuning just right and CANNOT WAIT for the next gig!
Arriving at your gig you handle the snare with the utmost of care (after all it is your pride and joy) ready to give it the thrashing it’s been waiting for.
Deep breath…. The first hit, incoming! Yeeehhhaaaa…. That drum sings! You beam from ear to ear, there it is, that sound you’ve been waiting for. You’re in the moment, you’re loving life and NOW you’re about to have the best gig EVER!!!!
Fast forward 12 months or more… Your once new snare drum is filthy, some of the snare wires are bent, the top head is dented and covered in blood, sweat and tears, the bottom head has been over tightened, it sounds like a cardboard box and your levels of frustration are through the roof.

This coming Bank Holiday Monday 27th May, SNARE DRUM SURGERY is back!!!

What is this surgery we speak of?
.
Let one of the DD crew scan their professional eye(s) over your beloved snare drum to assess and diagnose any issues.
We’ll check the heads, give it a lovely spring clean with our special drum cleaning formula, tweak it, adjust those snare wires, find the optimum tuning range so your drum is just the way you like it and aim to get it back to how it once was.
On this day and this day only, there is no labour charge. Yup, that’s right, we’ll check it, clean it, adjust it, tune it and work on your snare for FREE!!!!
If your snare needs anything other than some free labour, e.g: Replacement parts – new heads, wires, etc. these will be charged at normal DD prices. The labour is still free though, that’s on us.

If your snare needs a more full-on, comprehensive service, as in, it’s been stored in the attic for 20 years and needs more of a restoration as opposed to a bit of a spruce, then we’d need to book that in for a quote.
If your snare needs some TLC, for example, heads need changing etc., we’ll be more than willing to check it, whip those heads and wires off, give it a professional clean, oil it, rebuild it, select the heads that suit your sound and playing style, tune it to perfection and demo it to make sure you’re as happy as can be. The time we spend doing it is on us but obviously we have to charge for any drum products used (heads, wires, tension rods, etc.)
No booking necessary, just turn up between 11am and 3.30pm on Monday 27th May 2024.
This offer only applies to snare drums NOT an entire kit.
Only ONE snare drum per customer.
Normally drum service labour costs are £30 per hour.
